On a bitterly cold evening, Colours lit up the night with their vibrant brand of pass and move football and clinical finishing. The game started off quite differently with Sunny strollin on the pitch LATE and giving Whites the lead with his 1st touch, Whites continued to build and played some super stuff with "Riggs and Murtaugh" aka "Dimi and Nii" linking up well and firing Whites into a deserved 4/5 goal lead.

Then the capitulation. Or the fightback. Depending on which side of the fence you sat. Misplaced passes from Rush's radar gifted Colours' possession and the triangle of Rajesh, Manu and a possessed Sam with strong running from Nav, Aman and James ensured that Colours were chipping away at Whites' lead.

Then a sudden burst and transformation from Sam. Enter Samaldinho. His radar was pin-point and started his one man crusade and suddenly Colours edged ahead and then built a 4-5 goal lead with contributions from James/Nav. Whites were shell-shocked and frustration crept into their game. To be honest this was a "Take a Boo" performance spearheaded by an unplayable Sam!

"Cometh the hour, Cometh the Barnasaurus!"
For 45 minutes it seemed that Whites had left their Duracell batteries at home. They were lacklustre and lazy in tracking back and this resulted in several one on one opportunities for Colours. Whites kept their noses in it with some memorable strikes from Stas and mazy runs from Aman causing havoc in Colours' defence but the main question on everyone's lips was "Where was the maurauding Barn?"

Well as the headline says as the game ticked-tocked away Nii started his engine and rattled in some absolute belters. Left foot, right foot, top left hand corner, right hand corner. Whites were 2 down when he got going and ended up 2 up when he finished. Colours were shell-shocked and probably deserved something as they bossed 4/5 of the game with every member of the Team having a solid game. The one thing they forgot was never discount a monster - especially if the monster is a Barnasaurus!

Tight game. Whites started off well. Stas was back to his imperious best. And Dimi continued his solid form. Rajesh was back from a 3 week lay off and was the glue that kept the White ship together.
Colours played well but the overall assessment was that their finishing was off. Sam had a barnstorming game but really should have had a truckload of goals and Navbo's instinctive shooting kept Colours in it. Amano started to dictate play in the last 10-15 but Whites held on for a somewhat pyrrhic victory but as Rush said to Dimi at the final whistle "It's all about the "W"! "
